Sindh Government Students Scholarships Scheme Approved

Sindh Government Students Scholarships Scheme approved for latest launching programs by Education Departments. Sindh Government approves 1100 scholarships for students recently. Scholarships for 1100 new candidates were approved during a meeting of the board of directors for the Sindh Endowment Fund, presided over by education minister of sindh Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar at Tugluq House.

The education minister said that, since 2002, 10,086 students had been awarded endowment scholarships of worth Rs1.15 billion and presently the Sindh education department had Rs523 million in the head of Endowment fund. AIOU announces student’s scholarships on securing 75 percent marks

The secretary of college education Dr Riaz Memon, special secretary of the endowment fund Naseemul Ghani Sehto as well as sthe vice chancellors of different universities also attended the meeting.

Dahar said that the endowment fund was set up with almost Rs200 million between 2002 and 2003 with the target of offering financial aid to the aspirants belonging to the low backgrounds. These scholarships will be granted to candidates purely on merit basis to acquire higher education at the best educational institutes. FC College to hold 2-day film festival for students.

15 seats were allotted to the Indus Medical College. In a meeting it was also decided that interviews of candidates who had applied for the endowment fund scholarships will be conducted soon so that the eligible and deserving students can continue their further education.

Education Minsiter Sindh also assured that the Sindh education department will provide aid  to needy and eligible students in getting higher education and promised that all decisions were being taken completely on merit.
