Rabi ul Awwal moon sighted in Pakistan Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi 2018

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee said that the moon for the month of Rabiul Awwal could not be sighted on Thursday evening.

The first Rabiul Awwal will be on November 10, Saturday. The Eid Miladun Nabi will fall on November 21, Wednesday.

Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Chairperson Mufti Muneebur Rehman made the announcement after chairing a meeting of the moon sighting committee.

Rabi ul Awwal moon has been sighted as per schedule, Mufti Muneeb announced the news tonight. The Central Ruet e Hilal Committee (Moon-sighting committee) under Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman are meeting tonight to sight Rabi ul Awwal moon.

The crescent of Rabi-ul-Awaal has not been sighted in Pakistan today, therefore, the Eid Milad-un-Nabi will be celebrated across the country on Wednesday November 21.

This was announced by Chairman Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Mufti Muneebur Rehman here on Thursday.

Mufti Munib chair the meeting of the Ruet -e-Hilal Committee for moon sighting of Rabi-ul-Awal 1440 Hijri on Thursday (today).

The meeting of the crescent sighting body took place at the Pakistan Meteorological Department in Karachi.

The central body takes its decision based on evidence which it receives from people and zonal committees across the committee.

The first Rabi-ul-Awwal will be on Thursday, December 1 while 12 Rabi ul Awwal, the birthday of Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him), will fall on December 12, Monday.

CHRC Chairman Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman made the announcement after chairing a meeting of the moon sighting committee in the federal capital.

He said that 12 Rabi ul Awwal would be celebrated across Pakistan with religious passion and fervor on December 12, Monday.

 According to astronomical parameters, there was fair chance for the sighting new moon of Rabi-ul-Awwal, 1438 AH on the evening i.e. on 29th of Safar, 1438 AH.

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has stated that there are high chances for the sighting of Rabi ul Awwal moon on Wednesday night.

The Central Ruet e Hilal Committee (Moon-sighting committee) under Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman are meeting tonight to sight Rabi ul Awwal moon.

Astronomical parameters of new moon and average cloud amounts at Pilot Balloon Observatories of Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) are attached herewith.

The new Rabiul Awal moon has been sighted across several parts of the country as was confirmed by Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Pakistan.

Meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee was held in the central headquarters while the provincial and committee meetings were also held in their respective offices.

Chairman Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rahman confirmed that the first Rabiul Awal will be on Thursday, Dec 1.
