Punjab University BA, BSc Subjects Paper Format Syllabus Marks details complete for Regular candidates, Private register candidates across all Pakistan for Arts, Science Bachelor degree. The University of Punjab conducted BA/BSc exam as combined exam for part-I and part-II for Private Regular candidates and annual exams students. But now, the University has split the BA / BSc exam into two separate parts, Part-I and Part-II. It means the part-I exam will be held in the first year of B.A/BSc while the part-II exam will be held in the next year.

BACHELOR OF ARTS (BA)

Bachelor of Arts (BA) Part-I

BACHELORS OF SCIENCE (BSc)

Bachelor of Science (BSc) Part-I

The BSc students will select three elective subjects from the list of elective subjects given at the end of this page.

BA & BSc.

  1. English paper and Islamic studies/Pak-studies are compulsory subjects.
  2. The paper of Islamic Studies/Pak-studies will be a combined paper of 100 marks. Islamiyat portion has 60 marks. Pak-studies portion has 40 marks.
  3. Each elective subject has two papers (paper-I and paper-II). Paper-I is attempted in part-I and Paper-II is attempted in part-II of the Bachelor program.

ELECTIVE SUBJECTS

Some of the elective subjects can only be selected for B.A or BSc. Some of the subject can be selected for BA as well as BSc as shown in the brackets for each subject given below: BA students will select two elective subject while BSc students will select three elective subjects.

How to select subjects:

  1. Select subject according to area of your interest.
  2. Study the syllabus of each subject before selecting it to decide wisely.
  3. Select those subjects which you want to also study in your Masters because admission in Master in a subject require that the student has studied the same subject in Bachelors too.
  4. Some subjects also have a PRACTICAL PART. Private student, selecting such a subject, would submit a certificate issued from a college affiliated with Punjab University to prove that he or she has completed the Practical Work. Not all the subjects but only a few subjects have practical.
